|Ownaracehorse 2YO's all in great shape and getting ready for the turf season|
|DATE POSTED: 02/02/2016|
We have more 2YO's in
training this season than any other year in the 12 years we have
been syndicating racehorses - and the reports from their yards are
Our 2016 2YO's are keeping out of the gales at the moment, but that will not stop them working on the walker or cantering when the wind dies down. The news from Ollie Pears and Seamus Durack is that all our 2YO's are in good health and maturing nicely, as they build up to the start of the flat season in spring.
Orithia - a beautifully bred £48,000 filly who looks to be as sharp as they come.
The two youngsters down with Seamus Durack in Lambourn are already going up the gallops on a daily basis, and Orithia looks like she may be our first 2YO to see a racetrack, as she is particularly forward and bred for sprinting.
Meanwhile, High Wells, from the same yard has grown well so far this winter, and being bred to be a miler in time, has lengthened out and Seamus likes him a great deal.
Up at Malton, Ollie Pears has another four of our youngsters, and I Call The Shots, by first season sire, Delegator is an impressive individual now. However, he will probably be beaten to the racetrack by Compton Place colt Fire Engine, who is another sprint bred sort who looks very sharp in his early work.
Dyna Might has a very interesting profile, and is a tall, rangey individual, who is filling out well, and will want sprint distances. Her sire is getting plenty of decent winners over in Australia at the moment, whilst Spanish Beauty is a beautiful filly who is by the proven source of 2YO winners, Paco Boy.
We have shares available in all these horses at the moment, but they are selling quickly - so don't leave it too long. We expect to sell out of Fire Engine and High Wells quite soon, and Orithia and Spamish Beauty are not far behind!
