Our Philip Kirby
trained gelding Brunello did well late last week, when finishing
second in a mile and a half handicap at Wolverhampton. Now the
gelding could be set to return there to go one better...
It was a case of close, but not quite for our popular dual purpose
racehorse Brunello last week at Wolverhampton. The gelding has been
knocking on the door a few times this season for his shareholders,
but we are expecting him to try again very soon.
Trained by Philip Kirby in
Middleham, the gelding will most probably be heading
back down to Wolverhampton in the next week or so to
attempt to go one better on the All-Weather surface.
Known as 'Bruno' to shareholders and the stable staff,
be looking to race over the same
course and distance which saw him unlucky last time out.
Philip Kirby (whose yard visit for our shareholders this Sunday
should be illuminating) reports the gelding to be in excellent
shape, and ready to race again. Brunello has an entry for
Friday, and will also get another for Monday at the Midlands
Shares are already available in Bruno for his winter campaign.
We are really excited that the gelding will be going hurdling
for the first time this winter - and based on his schooling over
fences, we could have a really exciting winter of jumping to
look forward to!
