Entered at Windsor on Monday evening where he could well go for a run before a crack at regaining his crown in the Grey’s Race at Newmarket on 13 August. Will hopefully get the ground he needs at Newmarket and should run a big race.
MY BEST BET:
Was looking very well when a member of the OAR team visited Lambourn recently. Stef Higgins just wanting to make sure the mare is completely sound in her faster work before bringing her back to the course.
Trainer Stef Higgins has intimated that the grand old campaigner will not be too far off a return to the course. Has been given plenty of time to recover and it is hoped patience will be rewarded with this very decent handicapper.
Has been given a proper rest out at grass at our pre-training yard as last run possibly a bit lack lustre and has been in training for a long time and has earned a break. Could well return in the autumn on softer ground..
Had a bizarre incident with the stalls at Ayr but showed no ill effects the day after when running enthusiastically at Musselburgh. Runs at Hamilton on Saturday evening and will surely find a race, particularly if he gets his ground at Musselburgh.
Has responded well to his treatment following a scope finding a minor infection. If trainer George Foster has got to the bottom of his problem he looks well handicapped and shows enough in his races to think he can soon be found a winning opportunity. Entered at Carlisle’s ‘Ladies Only’ evening on Monday evening.
Philip Kirby was very disappointed with the horse’s last run at Worcester after looking to have shown plenty of promise previously at Market Rasen. The trainer remains confident that the horse will find a race in the near future. SHARES AVAILABLE FOR 2011.
Recent visit from the vet just saw James re-assess his potential return to action but could well be racing again in September. Has been doing plenty of cantering and very fit so unlikely to need a great deal of fast work before he is ready to race.
Has slipped to encouraging mark and has run better than finishing positions suggest on last two All Weather runs. Has had a light campaign this year and will be readied for a busy winter on the artificial surfaces. SHARES AVAILABLE FOR ALL WEATHER SEASON.
DANCING ELLIE MAE:
Being prepared for her opening run in late September or early October. Starting her gallop work very soon. SHARES AVAILABLE FOR ALL WEATHER SEASON.
UNNAMED TRADE FAIR FILLY:
Worked well on her first few spins up the gallops at home and we expect her to start racing in September. SHARES AVAILABLE FOR ALL WEATHER SEASON.
Being readied for run in September and October ahead of a full winter season of hurdling and chasing. SHARES AVAILABLE FOR WINTER SEASON.
